Computer Literacy Program
Computer Literacy Project: Increasing the Prospect of Globalization through Computer Technology and Information.
The Liberian Youth Coalition intends to build Computer Literacy Training Centers across Liberia. The Computer Literacy Training Centers will come handy to the rural people of the 14 Counties, touching nearly every facet of their lives. It will endeavor through the professional management of the Liberian Youth Coalition by providing computer literacy training to thousands of Liberian youths and teachers whose academic standing in this information technology has been unparalleled to the prospect of globalization.
Project Goals and Objectives:
Enable youths, adults, and teachers to improve their reading and writing skills through computer-based technology.
Increase awareness of computer technology to help local people expand their economic wealth, finances, and businesses which may lead to a better standard of living
Will enable youths, adults, and teachers to learn ways to adapt to the global economy, easy means of sharing information, and help them to keep information organized and effective.
Equip disadvantaged youths, adults and teachers with modern technology by providing courses such as typing, word processing, graphic and web design, spreadsheet software, research access, and most important, with the global internet.

With the Computer Literacy Training Centers, professional staff members of the Liberian Youth Coalition will be able to administer other community based programs to help improve the community. Professional and trained staff members will use the aid of computer technology through micro-media to provide information concerning environmental health, risk of sexual transmitted diseases and HIV, and other social issues affecting the local people to include gender-based violence and child protection.
Today, most families in Liberia live below the poverty line, and more than 70% of Liberians are illiterate. Our Computer Literacy Program will definitely help to bridge the digital divide and include Liberians to partake in the information age.How You Can Help?
